Faces of Miiskin: Permission to Use Your Images and Story

Faces of Miiskin is our testimonial bank: real stories from real Miiskin users, published on miiskin.com so that people considering Miiskin can hear from people like them.
The Permission to Use Your Images and Story applies when you submit your skin story, photos, or other material (“your Story”) to Miiskin for Faces of Miiskin. By submitting your Story, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not submit.
“Miiskin,” “we,” “us” and “our” means Miiskin Group, Østerfælled Torv 4, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark.
1. Who can take part
You must be 18 or older, a resident of the United States, and have used Miiskin for an online consultation.
You must also not be enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, the Veterans Health Administration, or any other federal health care program. If you are enrolled in one of these, you are not eligible to take part.
2. What you’re sending us
Your Story may include your name, your skin concern, your experience of using Miiskin, any advice you would give others, and photos, including photos of your skin and your face.
Only send us material you are comfortable seeing published on a public website or social media.
We may contact you to ask for more detail or better photos before we publish. Anything you send us in response forms part of your Story and is covered by the same permissions.
3. Publishing your Story
We intend to publish the Stories we receive on miiskin.com or relevant social media, as part of the Faces of Miiskin testimonial bank. We cannot promise that every Story will be published.
If we do not publish your Story
If we decide not to publish your Story, your permission expires 90 days after you submit it, and we will delete the photos and the answers you supplied for Faces of Miiskin. Nothing else in your Miiskin account is affected.
Promoting Faces of Miiskin
We may also use your Story, or short extracts and photos from it, in Miiskin marketing and on our social media channels, to raise awareness of Faces of Miiskin and bring people to the testimonial bank on miiskin.com.
This includes organic social media posts, paid advertising, email, and other Miiskin marketing materials. Wherever we use it, we apply the same rules as on the website: first name only, no surname, no age, and only the basic health information you chose to share.
Please note that content posted on social media can be seen, saved, shared, and commented on by other people, and we cannot control what others do with it once it is public.
4. Permission to publish your Story
You are giving us two separate permissions. This section covers publishing your Story, your photos and your name. Section 5 covers the health information your Story contains.
By submitting your Story, you give Miiskin permission to publish, display, store, edit, and reproduce it — in whole or as short extracts — on miiskin.com and in the marketing and social media described in Section 3, together with your photos and the details you have shared.
We publish first names only. We do not publish your surname or your age. We will not sell your Story, and we will not license it to anyone else for their own campaign.
You also agree that:
- We may edit your Story for length, clarity, spelling, or format, as long as we do not change the meaning of what you said.
- You do not have a right to approve the final page before it goes live, although we will normally share it with you as a courtesy.
5. Permission to use your health information
Your Story is about your skin, so it includes some health information. Health information is protected under US law, so it needs its own permission, separate from the one in Section 4.
We publish only basic health information — the skin concern and experience you choose to describe in your submission. We do not publish detailed consultation or medical records, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, or clinical notes.
We may check our records to confirm that you have used Miiskin for an online consultation before publishing your Story.
Your health information authorization
By submitting your Story, you authorize Miiskin to use and publish the health information contained in it — your description of your skin concern, your experience, and the photos you send — on miiskin.com, and in Miiskin marketing and social media, for the promotional purposes described in Section 3.
- This authorization lasts until you withdraw it, or 5 years from the date of your submission, whichever comes first.
- You may withdraw this authorization at any time by writing to us at [email protected]. Withdrawal applies going forward and does not undo any use we made before we received it. See Section 9.
- Your medical care is not affected. Your access to Miiskin consultations and the care you receive do not depend on whether you share your Story or keep it published.
- Once your Story is published on a public website or social media, the information in it is no longer protected health information and may be seen, saved, or shared by others.
- Miiskin does not receive payment from anyone in connection with Faces of Miiskin.
We will email you a copy of your completed submission, including your signature and these terms, when you submit.
Everything you submit is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
6. What you’re confirming
By submitting, you confirm that:
- Your Story is true and reflects your own honest experience and opinion of Miiskin;
- You have used the Miiskin service you describe;
- Your Story and photos are your own, and you have the right to share them;
- Your photos show only you, and no other identifiable person appears in them;
- Your photos have not been filtered, retouched, or digitally altered;
- Your Story does not contain anything unlawful, offensive, or defamatory, and does not use anyone else’s copyrighted material, music, or trademarks.
Release. In exchange for the opportunity to take part in Faces of Miiskin and any Amazon gift card described in Section 8, you release Miiskin, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim arising out of your participation or our use of your Story as permitted by these terms. This does not release any claim that cannot be released by law, and does not release a claim arising from our failure to follow these terms.
7. Responsibility for what you submit
If someone else brings a claim against Miiskin because of your Story — for example because your Story or photos were not truly your own, included another identifiable person without their agreement, or were false or defamatory — you agree to indemnify Miiskin for the reasonable losses, damages, and costs this causes, to the extent the claim results from your breach of Section 6.
This does not apply where the claim arises from Miiskin’s own breach of these terms or from Miiskin’s negligence.
8. What you receive
If we select and publish your Story, we will send you an Amazon gift card as a thank you. You are not entitled to any other payment or compensation.
Because you receive something of value, we will say so clearly wherever we publish your Story, including on the page on miiskin.com and in any social media post or advertisement that features it.
9. If you change your mind
If you no longer wish your Story to appear, tell us in writing at [email protected].
We will aim to take your Story down from miiskin.com, and from the other places we have used it, within 30 days of receiving your request.
We cannot recall copies that other people have already saved, shared, or reposted.
10. General
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and nothing in these terms deprives you of the protection of any law of the state in which you live that cannot be varied by agreement.
Dispute resolution. Section 20 of our Terms of Service applies to your participation in Faces of Miiskin. It covers how a dispute is resolved, including an agreement to arbitrate, a waiver of class actions, and how to opt out.
Severability. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miiskin is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your participation. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
