It was during dermatology residency when Dr. Trowbridge’s interest in teledermatology began. Training under Richard Allen Johnson, editor of the world famous Fitzpatrick’s Color Atlas and Synopsis of Clinical Dermatology, Dr. Trowbridge developed a sincere interest in medical photography and image analysis. Through examination of tens of thousands of clinical photographs, he observed the power that still-images of skin diseases can have to facilitate the delivery of dermatologic care.
Dr. Trowbridge treats many skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema, hives, drug eruptions, skin cancers, itch, hair loss, and many others. He treats patients of all ages. He believes that beginning each patient encounter with a review of high quality photographs allows the doctor to prepare the most thorough, up to date, and best diagnosis and treatment plan for the patient.
Dr. Trowbridge provides virtual dermatology consultations to diagnose and treat common skin conditions for patients in California, Nebraska, Illinois, and Connecticut.
