Kristin Thorisdottir Psychologist (Cand. Psych.)
Kristin Thorisdottir is a licensed psychologist (Cand. Psych) and health coach who works with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.
Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety and stress as well as the side effects that these diagnoses bring to an individual’s life such as low self-esteem and low self-compassion to name a few.
Kristin has a BA in Social Work from the University of Iceland, and a BA in Psychology and a Masters (Candidate) in Psychology from the University of Aarhus that allows her to work as a licensed psychologist.
She works as a psychologist for the municipality of Tarnby in Denmark where she works with children that have autism, down syndrome and other genetic disorders and she is member of the Danish Psychology Association (Dansk Psykolog Forening).
Kristin also owns a private practice (Mindtherapy.dk) located in the center of Copenhagen, where she offers in-person and virtual therapy to people worldwide in English, Danish and Icelandic. Together with her friend Jennifer Highland, Kristin is also a contributor to the website called Enbuscadelafelicidad.org where they share resources about mental wellness and happiness.
In addition to helping individuals obtain a better life quality, Kristin is a freelance writer in her spare time and she writes about how individuals can obtain a better mental and physical health.
Kristin is very passionate about her work and has done research on personality traits, since different treatment approaches are needed to treat different people.
