Dr. Amit Om MD, FAAD
Dr. Amit Om is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon specializing in skin cancer treatment. He offers consultations with Dermatology Laser Vein Specialists at four different locations in North Carolina.
Additionally, he also offers online consultations via Miiskin to patients in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Connecticut, New York, Texas and California.
Dr. Om earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was actively involved in leadership roles and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his dermatology residency at Florida State University, where he served as Chief Resident. To further specialize in skin cancer treatment and advanced reconstructive surgery, he pursued an ACGME/ACMS Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship under Dr. Richard Bennett in Santa Monica, CA.
Throughout his career, Dr. Om has been dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and education. He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and has held a faculty position at LAC + USC Medical Center. He is licensed to practice in multiple states, reflecting his broad impact in the field of dermatology. Dr. Om is interested in men’s health, and he serves as the social media ambassador for the AAD.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Om enjoys playing tennis, traveling, listening to podcasts, and supporting Hornets basketball.
