Mole Sizing
Measure moles without a ruler and track size over time. Using Augmented Reality technology, Miiskin helps you take photos for digital measurements.
Why measure your moles?
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, if a spot on your skin changes or is different from others you should consult a dermatologist. You should pay extra attention to moles bigger than 6 mm (about the size of a pencil eraser).

How To Use Mole Sizing
Download the
Miiskin App
Download the Miiskin app from your App Store and sign up for Miiskin Premium to start tracking moles on your body with measurements.
Find a coin to use as a reference
The size of your moles will be digitally calculated by the app by knowing the exact sizes of commonly used coins and using images taken with Miiskin’s augmented camera.
Take a photo of your mole with a coin
Once the coin is detected in the camera view and marked with the green augmented circle you can take a photo. Make sure the coin is close to the mole or lesion you want to measure.
Specify which coin you were using
Different coins have different sizes, so you need to specify which one you used for your photo. If you can’t find the right currency in the app, let us know by tapping “Request another currency” and we will add it shortly.
Adjust the endpoints of the mole to compare measurements over time
Adjust the digital markers to the outer extremities of the mole you want to measure. The mole is measured by reference to the coin size and the measurement is stored with the photo. Please keep in mind the measurements are rounded to 1mm (0.04in).
