Michael Shalmi, Chairman of the Board at Miiskin
Michael Shalmi MD, MBA, is a physician by training and a seasoned life science investor and board member. Educated at the University of Copenhagen and the Scandinavian International Management Institute, he combines medical expertise with business leadership. Over a distinguished career, Michael spent 25 years within the Novo Group. From 1994 to 2009 he held senior leadership positions at Novo Nordisk in development, marketing, and sales, before moving to Novo Holdings in 2009. There, as Managing Partner, he established and led the Principal Investments team, overseeing 13 direct investments and 5 major fund-of-fund commitments, until stepping down in 2019. His broad experience across healthcare, life sciences, and energy, together with extensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare market, makes him a versatile leader capable of crafting focused corporate strategies tailored to diverse investor segments.
