Dr. Alpana Mohta, MD, DNB, FEADV, FIADVL
Dr. Alpana Mohta, MD, DNB, is an award-winning dual board-certified dermatologist with advanced training in pediatric dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, dermatosurgery, and pigmentary disorders. She owns her own private practice in India, where she offers physical and virtual consultations via the Miiskin app.
As a Fellow of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the Skin of Color Society, and the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists, she has extensive experience and education in the field.
With over 80 research publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Mohta has demonstrated her significant interest in research. She has won multiple awards from the most prestigious international societies, including the Imrich Sarkany non-European Memorial Scholarship by the European Academy of Dermatologists and Venereologists and bursary travel grant scholarships by both the British Association of Dermatologists as well as the Society of Pediatric Dermatology.
She has also been granted the Strauss and Katz World Congress Fund Scholarship, one of the most prestigious awards by the American Academy of Dermatology.
Her academic achievement in medical school was outstanding, as evidenced by the numerous medals and distinctions she obtained throughout her training, including the award for ‘best resident’ two years in a row.
Dr. Mohta has received extensive training from the best dermatologists all over the world and has also authored numerous textbooks on dermatology. Her research interests include acne vulgaris, cutaneous oncology, tropical diseases, dermatopathology, and dermoscopy. She is an avid blogger and regularly publishes articles.
