Dr. Craig Burkhart, MD, MS, MPH
Dr. Craig Burkhart, MD, MS, MPH, is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist, Associate Professor at UNC Dermatology and founder of Burkhart Pediatric & Adolescent Dermatology in North Carolina.
With over a decade of academic experience at UNC, where he was the only dermatologist with operating room privileges, he now specializes in excisions and laser surgeries at his private practice. A Northwestern-trained pediatric dermatology fellow, Dr. Burkhart has authored over 150 journal articles and contributed to multiple textbooks. He is a leading advocate for children’s skin health, having championed legislation banning indoor tanning for minors and serving as Dermatologic Director of the Sturge-Weber Foundation.
Dr. Burkhart currently offers online dermatology consultations via the Miiskin App to patients in the state of North Carolina and responds to these consultations in less than 48 hours on weekdays.
