Dr. Bisma Khalid Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Bisma Khalid is a Certified Dermatologist who received her Medical Degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi. 

She completed her internship and Medical Residency from Civil hospital and Dow University of Health Sciences before pursuing her Dermatology residency from PNS Shifa Hospital in Karachi. 

Dr. Khalid obtained her fellowship exam in dermatology (FCPS Dermatology) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan, followed by a Specialty Certificate Masters in Dermatology from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP Sc Dermatology).

During her career, Dr. Khalid completed a research fellowship at the University of Minnesota, where she worked with an Artificial Intelligence-based software that helps diagnose dermatological diseases. She published a chapter on hair devices, few papers on hair and PRP treatment; mast cells in neuro cutaneous diseases of the scalp; as well as as a few papers on Hidradenitis suppurativa outcome measures .

Apart from her research, Dr. Bisma Khalid is involved in conducting teledermatology consultations in clinics and has a special interest in inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases, as well as dermatopathology. She is also the chief editor of MRCP practice questions and works as an online postgraduate dermatology diploma tutor for the University of South Wales.
