Marta Teixeira, Dermatology Specialist Nurse and Certified Trichologist
Marta Teixeira is a medication-prescribing Dermatology Specialist Nurse and Certified Trichologist (specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp conditions) is currently studying her MSc Dermatology in Clinical Practice at the University of South Wales
She holds an adult nursing degree BSc (Hons), from the University of Aveiro with a postgraduate certificate anesthetic course and an adult and pediatric immediate life support course.
She has recently completed the Fundamentals of Hair Science and Hair Claims course by TRI Princeton, as well as the Independent Prescribing course (V300), making her the first Non-Medical Prescribing Trichologist in the UK

Marta owns her own trichology clinic (Clini Hair) in Hampshire, UK where she offers in-person and virtual consultations related to any hair or scalp issues such as alopecia (hair loss), hair thinning and chemical hair damage among others.
Marta is very passionate about hair and scalp science and she has written a few clinical review articles on hair science, published in the British Dermatological Nursing Group. She is a member of different organizations such as the European Hair Research Society, British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery, British Dermatological Nursing Group and many others.
Marta was appointed as a Hair Expert for the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) as a member of the Route Panel for Hair and Beauty, where she is responsible for providing expert recommendations on the technical content of hair education courses and standards.
She has also been recently appointed to the board of the Trichology Standards Authority (TSA) in order to help improve the standards of Trichological education in the UK.
